Stash is a free browser extension that helps you save and organize YouTube videos into personal lists. This policy explains what the extension accesses and where your information is stored.

Information Stash uses

When you open Stash on a YouTube video, it reads the active page’s URL, title, video thumbnail URL, and channel name to offer a save action. If you choose to save the video, Stash stores that selected page URL and metadata along with your custom list names and saved-video selections. Stash does not monitor your browsing history in the background or collect browsing activity from unrelated sites.

Storage and sharing

Your lists and saved-video information are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's local extension storage. Stash does not require an account, does not operate a cloud sync service, and does not send your saved lists to the extension developer. Stash does not sell your information or use it for advertising or profiling.

Browser permissions

Stash uses Chrome permissions to save and retrieve lists and to identify the YouTube video in your active tab when you use the extension. Its website access is limited to YouTube pages needed for that feature.

Third-party services

Stash displays YouTube video thumbnail images directly from YouTube’s image servers (i.ytimg.com), so your browser may send ordinary image requests to Google/YouTube when thumbnails load. Stash does not send your saved list names or collection contents to the extension developer or to an independent analytics service. Opening a saved video takes you to YouTube, subject to YouTube’s privacy practices. This promotional website uses Google Fonts, for which Google may receive normal font-loading requests. The Stash extension does not use third-party analytics or advertisements.

Deleting information

You can remove individual saved videos or delete lists in the extension. Uninstalling Stash removes its locally stored extension data in the normal course of Chrome's extension removal process.

Changes

If Stash's data practices change, this page will be updated. Check the date at the top for the latest version.
